Our staff are highly experienced and well-versed in all aspects of player development. Beyond the Bases is uniquely designed to teach, train and provide sufficient repetition for specific skills to allow the players to use them in game action immediately after our clinics. This flies directly in the face of the typical shotgun curriculum utilized by mainstream showcase and clinic companies.
Jose Tavares is the Heading Coordinator at Foundation Academy in Florida, with over 25 years of high school coaching experience. Jose has coached at Osceola High School in Florida, South Bronx High School in New York, and Lake Minneola in Lake County. A former collegiate player at Bronx Community College, he specializes in developing elite hitters and excels in defensive work with infielders and catchers. Throughout his career, he’s helped countless athletes reach collegiate and professional baseball careers. Jose also serves as a summer youth coach for Florida Sluggers, collaborating closely with college coaches and recruiting experts to guide young players to their full potential.
Ridge Fuller is the General Manager and Third Base Coach of the Purcellville Cannons. A Hampden-Sydney College graduate, Ridge became the youngest coach in History of the Valley Baseball League when he became an assistant coach for the Luray Wranglers in 2012. Since then, his role has grown from assistant coach to General Manager of one of the League’s most successful franchises–The Purcellville Cannons. Between his time in Luray to the present, Ridge has coached for teams that have gone on to include two MLB pitchers and over 100+ athletes that have signed in Professional baseball. To broaden his baseball knowledge, Ridge attended the Scout School presented by the Baseball Bureau and Inside Edge in fall of 2021. This year will be Ridge’s 14th year coaching at the summer collegiate level.
